No smoking inside the house. There is a smoking space in the garden..

Music can be played until eight o'clock at night.
Excessive consumption of alcoholic beverages may result in loss of rental.
Pets are not permitted on the premises.
Number of persons allowed per bed and per room are based on fire and guest safety regulations.
Children under 2 years and over 13 are allowed but must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

At Fukubatake, jazz jam sessions are held on the third Saturday of every month from noon to evening.
At the sessions, musicians, both professional and amateur, gather and play mainly jazz standard numbers.
There are no pre-meetings or rehearsals. People meeting for the first time are enjoying music together.
Guests can attend sessions for free.
Also, if you wish, we will hold a session on the day of your stay, even if it is not the third Saturday. Let's enjoy the exchange of music!

Jazz Lesson

Jazz piano / jazz vocal / jazz theory

Jazz lessons by music teachers who have taught 3000 graduates since the school opened in 1995.
Based on music theory systematized by Berklee College of Music, we teach in a fun and easy-to-understand manner.

Jazz piano concert

Fee：45 minutes　6000JPY(per person)

A concert by jazz pianist Koumei Shibata, owner of Fukubatake.
We will play jazz piano, focusing on standard jazz numbers

Ko-may Shibata

jazz pianist. Jazz theorist.
After graduating from Kyoto University of Foreign Studies, he moved to the United States. He graduated from Berklee College of Music.
In 1983, he won the gold medal at the New York Bacchus Music Competition in the jazz category.
He is active as a pianist in New York. he returned home.
In 1995, he founded the jazz school "SPOONFUL MUSIC" in Shinsaibashi, Osaka.
In 2013, he released his solo album "JAZZ ROCKET". He will release 6 more albums.
He has a reputation for his sensual sound backed by his endless ad-libs, multifaceted expressiveness, and natural sense of rhythm.
Moved to Yoshino-cho in 2020 after moving to Abeno-ku, Osaka in 2015.
